Exterior & Colors

The 2023 Chevy Express Cargo Van measures 224″ L x 79″ W x 85″ H. However, the versatile Cutaway model can be outfitted in many different configurations, ensuring you get precisely what you need. The cargo van includes standard rear swing-out doors, hinged cargo doors, and four color options. Additionally, you can choose the optional sliding door if that fits your needs better.

Interior Design & Seating

Because this isn't a passenger van, the 2023 Chevy Express Cargo Van and Cutaway are designed to accommodate two. The rest of the cargo van leaves space for customizations geared toward your business. For example, if you want, you can install cabinets or shelving in the back to hold your work equipment.

Infotainment & Features

Because these are work models, there are only a few standard features with either van. All of them are Wi-Fi capable and come with a basic stereo system. You can also add Bluetooth, satellite radio, and a 6.5" touchscreen display. If the need for a navigation system arises, that's also available.

Cargo Capacity

The cargo area is what the 2023 Chevy Express Cargo Van is named for. Depending on the configuration, you can expect up to 283 cubic feet of storage room, perfect for any tradesperson or delivery service.

Towing Capacity

Based on the configuration you choose, you can tow up to 10,000 pounds with your 2023 Chevy Express van. It's also capable of handling a maximum payload of 4,280 pounds. 

Drivetrain & Suspension

The 2023 Chevy Express is a rear-wheel drive van. Despite its larger size, it's relatively easy to maneuver and handles road imperfections like a boss.

Engine

Depending on your needs, you have several engines to choose from with the 2023 Chevy Express. The base model includes a 276-horsepower 4.3-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There's also a 401-horsepower 6.6-liter V8 that works with a six-speed automatic.

Performance & MPG

Full-size vans aren't required to follow the same federal fuel-economy standards. Therefore, there haven't been any ratings from the EPA, nor has Chevy released the figures on the new Express vans. 

Safety Features

You will find only a few standard safety features with the 2023 Chevy Express vans because it's better to customize what you need based on your use. While you get a standard rearview camera, we recommend considering the available blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and lane-departure warning systems. Ratings & Reviews

Neither the NHTSA nor the IIHS has provided any safety ratings for the 2023 Chevy Express Cargo Van or Cutaway. Because of the size of the vehicle, these ratings aren't expected. However, Car and Driver has reviewed the cargo van and continues to point out the best features: the "powerful V-8, 4280-lb max payload [and] 10,000-lb tow capacity."
